Flavorful Hokkaido potatoes are grown in a crisp climate, which has a big difference in temperature between day and night. In collaboration with potato farmers, we’ve developed the perfect soil and fertilizer for potatoes. After the potatoes are harvested, they’re checked for quality and stored under strict temperature control, waiting for their next step. The secret behind the superb flavor is the unique crispy texture and salt from the Okhotsk. We carefully select large Hokkaido potatoes which are suitable for our manufacturing process. We use whole potatoes with the skin on, to preserve the flavor components. Our original manufacturing process produces a crispy texture and brings out the potato’s innate flavor. Also, the salt from Okhotsk is used to create the unique flavor of Hokkaido. This salt is distilled from the brackish waters of Lake Saroma, and slowly cooked to mild salt.
